Terms of service

The Opman Company provides professional data structuring and validation services, transforming client-supplied rules and reference tables into Rule Arrays and Lookup Arrays conforming to the Data With Direction Specification (DWDS). All engagements are scoped and priced on a per-project basis.

Scope & Quotes. Each project is governed by a written quote accepted by the client prior to commencement. As stated in our service commitment: Invoice ≤ Quote — the final invoice will never exceed the accepted quote. Scope changes requested after quote acceptance may result in a revised quote, which must be approved before additional work proceeds.

Delivery. Deliverables are digital: structured Rule Arrays and/or Lookup Arrays in the agreed format. Delivery is made electronically. No physical goods are shipped.

Payment. Payment terms are specified in each project quote. Accepted currencies and payment methods are confirmed at the time of quoting.

Refunds. Because our services are custom-scoped, knowledge-intensive, and digitally delivered, all completed work is non-refundable. If a deliverable materially fails to conform to the accepted scope, we will correct it at no additional charge. Disputes must be raised in writing within 14 days of delivery.

Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. For international clients, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in English.
